Thank you.

The New Year is upon us and I can’t help but reflect back on what can only be considered a truly wild ride that was 2016. We launched WildLife Partners in late March of last year with big ideas and dreams and what we thought was something that could be truly remarkable. We really weren’t sure what others would think, but we were going to find out and boy did we. Our initial trip took us from Texas to Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas and finally Missouri and when it was all said and done, WildLife Partners was not only created but was about to change the world of the exotic wildlife breeding business in Texas. From that trip through the end of 2016, we raised a total $10,000,000 from 23 individuals. Those partners belief in what we are doing says all we need to know about that once crazy idea. So thank you for a great 2016, and I can’t wait for 2017 because I know the wild ride will just get better. Happy New Year!

What an incredible month!!

Posted on by

The last month has been absolutely spectacular!! We closed on our new breeding facility south of San Antonio then put the pedal to the floor to get our 2nd partnership stocked before the end of the year. Not only were we able to successfully acquire nearly every animal for our 2nd partnership but the species and quantity of them was truly amazing and may never be duplicated again. Here is a list of most of what we’ve purchased over the last 30-45 days:

45 Sable, 30 Kudu, 17 Dama Gazelle, 100 White-bearded Wildebeest, 15 Black Wildebeest, 55 Blesbok, 20 Gemsbok, 20 Nilgai, Chinese White-lipped Deer and many more. The vast majority of these will be part of our 2nd Partnership. It’s really awesome to see them running in such large numbers happy and healthy on the new ranch.

Babies, babies and more babies!!!

Posted on by

When we started on this adventure back in April, we had very high expectations and we actually appear to be well ahead of them at this point. One of the key things we learned during the purchase, capture and transport of the animals for our 1st partnership was a very high percentage of the animals we were purchasing were currently bred. The result of this is we now have close to 100 babies on the ground today which puts us about 4-5 months ahead of the original plan.

Those babies include: Cape Buffalo, Kudu, Nyala, Sable, Nile Lechwe, Grants Gazelle, Black Wildebeest, Blesbok, Whitebearded Wildebeest and many more.

Here are a few pictures of some of these awesome babies. Click the arrow on the right side of the image to see all of the pictures.

We have so much to be thankful for!

Posted on by

As Thanksgiving is upon us, its time to reflect on family, friends and what we should be thankful for. I can honestly say the last 7 months have been the most humbling and exciting that I can ever recall and for that we can not be thankful enough.

Things at the ranches remain incredible. Over the last month we’ve had visitors to the ranch from Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana, Indiana, California and many from all over Texas. We have more visits scheduled in the next month with people from California, Arizona, and Pennsylvania.

Here are some of the pictures from a few of the recent visits.

“Big Bucks in Exotic Game”

Posted on by

I can honestly say that I’ve never been more proud or humbled by the comments we’ve heard over the last month from visitors, investors and colleagues but today something was released that I will simply say “Thank you God may I have another.”

Over the last 30 days, we’ve had visitors to the ranch from Illinois, Indiana, California, Wyoming, New York and many areas of Texas. These include current investors, prospective investors and organizations such as the San Antonio Zoo, the Houston Safari Club and The San Antonio Business Journal. Each visit is unique yet they all leave with a similar statement….”This is awesome!”

The San Antonio Business Journal obviously must have had some of the same thoughts because after their initial visit to our Mountain Home Breeding facility 2 months ago, they embarked on a multi-piece article about the exotic WildLife industry in Texas and decided that WildLife Partners would be the cover story for their print issue that was released today. You will see the cover in the beginning then the article starts on Page 15. The file is a little large so it may take a few moments to load on your device then you can scroll through the pages.

A tour of the new WildLife Partners Breeding Facility

Posted on by

Roger Festor and Chris Gilroy did an aerial tour of the newest WildLife Partner’s ranch near Pettus, TX this week. During this flyover we were also performing a count of the animals on the ranch today. As you can see from the videos below, it’s one incredible place. We anticipate our 2nd partnership being active on this ranch inside the next 30-45 days. I can’t tell you how excited we are to be a part of this effort to profit from the conservation of the amazing animals.

Another record breaking sale in Africa!

Posted on by

Just over a week ago another massive amount was paid for a Cape Buffalo in South Africa. Inala was purchased at auction by a group of three investors, one of which being Norman Adami. The group paid R168,000,000 or nearly a whopping $12,500,000 at today’s exchange rates. A beautiful animal and a very exciting auction to watch. Click in the picture of Inala below to read the article about the sale.

WildLife Partners is leading the exotic wildlife industry in Texas down a similar path to the one started in Africa in 1991 after the Game Theft Act was passed. One of our long term goals is to establish an industry structure that would help facilitate auctions like those run in South Africa today.

WildLife Partners Get its First Cover Story!!

Posted on by

Since we started on this magical venture, I’ve always had this feeling that one day we were going to end up in the news. In fact, I know I’ve made that exact statement to several of our partners, but I honestly never thought it would be this soon. A few weeks ago we were visited by a reporter from the San Antonio Business Journal. With camera man in tote, they spent several hours with Brian, Roger and I touring the ranch at our Mountain Home breeding facility. During the tour, there were numerous pictures taken and questions asked about just how this all got started and where we thought it was going. We were both humbled and honored when we received a call last week informing us we would be their cover story for the October print issue of the magazine. Below is a link to the web version of the article which was released September 12th.

There’s a slideshow of some of the pictures they took during their visit as well as a short video interview with Brian.

After nearly 14 years at our previous location, we are very excited to move into our new corporate headquarters.  The new location is on the North side of San Antonio conveniently located about 1 hour from both our Mountain Home and Pettus breeding facilities.  It’s also about 15 minutes from the San Antonio airport.

The Babies Just Keep Coming

Posted on by

It’s hard to drive around the ranch and not see babies everywhere.  Regardless of the pasture or the species you are around, there seems to be a mom with a baby. Over the last few weeks, we have welcomed babies across numerous species including: Kudu, Nyala, Transcaspian Urial, Black Wildebeest, Impala, Red Lechwe, Addax and Scimitar Horned Oryx.

This is what WildLife Partners is all about!!  If it wasn’t for ranches like ours, many of these species would not exist today.

Preservation…………Protection……..Profits!
